4 San Francisco Manufacturing Companies You Need to Know About

Social Imprints kicked off SFMade's 2017 SFMade Week by hosting a party called, "Make America Print Again". Over 500 attendees mingled, networked, consumed the fine catered food of The Chairman, received complimentary Social Imprints giveaways such as t-shirts, water bottles and tote bags, and most importantly, learned about local businesses in the San Francisco area.

In case you missed it, consider this article a recapitulation. These are 4 local San Francisco manufacturing companies you should look out for in 2017.

Social Imprints

Social Imprints is a full service branded merchandise company based in San Francisco. We partner with top companies in the Bay Area such as Lyft, Airbnb, Dropbox, Pinterest and beyond to provide them with branded materials for events, recruiting, on-boarding, and much more.

At Social imprints, we believe that our people are our greatest asset. We provide higher paying professional jobs to at-risk adults in need of a second chance. Our workforce strategy offers careers in management, sales, customer service & production within our highly supportive work environment. Currently, 80% of our employees come from our social mission, and we continue to hire more in manufacturing jobs as we grow.

Big House Beans

Big House Beans believes in birthing potential through highlighting diversity. To them, every person is different, but we all have a purpose. By sourcing unique coffees to keep the spectrum wide, they allow for each one to flourish in its own way. The organization also believes sourcing from the wide spectrum of people helps individuals flourish in their own way.

The goal of Big House Beans is to empower individuals through unconditional love and second chances, and to caffeinate and embrace our community through every bag of coffee – from the bloom to the last sip. For them, it is #morethanjustcoffee.

UBI-IND, a denim brand established in 1999, was created by Ulrich "Ubi" Simpson. Under his vision, a comfortable jean turned to a denim lifestyle. They keep traditional techniques alive, innovating in fabrics, garment development, and manufacturing to achieve the gold standard in product excellence.

They also support the American manufacturing scene by working exclusively with leading American manufacturers to ensure premium quality. Their products are made from White Oak Cone Denim, sourcing from the longest running cotton mill in America; the Blue River laundry, a leader in sustainable waterless and laser technology; and the YKK USA, which gives their products secure two-prong tacks and hand pressed rivets. UBI-IND puts the America back in all-American jeans.

Harmonic Brewing

Harmonic Brewing is a small-batch brewery crafting balanced ales for enjoyment at their taproom, in to-go growlers, and on draft at local drinking establishments. They have a brewery and tap room in the Dopatch district of San Francisco, which is home to the American Industrial Center and hundreds of artists, bakers, and other artisanal producers. As a result, Harmonic Brewing takes local manufacturing to the craft beer scene thanks to owners Ed Gobbo and Jon Verna.
