Happy Earth Day 2021!
In the same way that we always strive to keep our social mission front and center in everything we do here at Social Imprints, Earth Day is a chance for all of us to reflect on our behaviors, how they impact the planet that we call home, and how we can always strive to do better.
So, how can we help people get inspired, while also challenging them to do better? What if we took two internet fads and combined them into one amazing piece of #EarthDay content that was just as inspirational as it was motivational, and that could challenge readers while giving them some grandiose words worth reflecting on?
Well, that's just what we did. To celebrate Earth Day this year, we've gone and put together a whole bunch of awesome inspirational Earth Day quotes, and built out a few Earth Day calculators that you can use to figure out your own wasteful emissions. It's all in the spirit of helping each of us reflect and improve on our own eco-friendly actions! We only have one home planet, so let's make it count.
Waste Not, Want Not

It's only human -- we all waste, no matter how hard we try not to. Some of that waste is just a byproduct of living, but how much of that waste is something that we could control and actually limit to help reduce the strain we place on the Earth?
Let's take a second and look at our daily commutes. Sure, most of us have been working from home over the past year, but with parts of the economy opening back up, offices are also starting to bring people back. And with that means the increase in number of cars on the road again.

To help us look at that a bit, it's time for another Earth Day calculator. This one looks at how much energy you use each month, based on average home usage data for the U.S.
Of course, if you are running a whole bunch of video game systems, smart home technology, and other energy-draining devices, your energy usage is going to be higher. Can you think of ways to limit how much energy you and your family use every month? We challenge all of our readers to come up with personal energy goals for themselves, and to try to reduce their energy impact every month!

While working to set energy and recycling goals for your family is a great step, it's also important to remember that none of us are alone in our efforts. One person cannot stop pollution all by themselves, and it's up to us to solve this problem ... together.
